It all started in 2009 when Anne Kuperus read an article about black garlic in The New York Times. He was always fond of cooking and so he wanted to try this and ordered 2 kilos of black garlic bulbs from South-Korea. When he visited chefs with those bulbs, they went crazy about the taste. So he started Kuperus Foods. Now, almost 13 years later we have a production location in Europe, produce black garlic and black onion. Have sauces, aioli and pearls with black garlic and we import black limes or loomi from Somalia, saffron from Iran and yuzu, sudachi and wasabi from Japan.
